University Alliance The year 2024 marked the beginning of a new stage of cooperation between Karaganda Industrial University and SAP, as well as the establishment of new forms and directions for mutually beneficial partnership.
On December 23, 2024, Karaganda Industrial University hosted a meeting with representatives of SAP, during which an agreement was signed on the university's accession to the SAP University Alliance. Cooperation with SAP will allow the university to use SAP software in the educational and research process.
"This opens up new perspectives for students and teachers of our university in the field of modern technologies and digital transformation. Thanks to this, the university will be able to develop educational programs that meet modern market requirements and train specialists who are in demand in the context of digital transformation," said KarIU Rector Bakhyt Zhautikov.
During the visit of SAP representatives, awards were also presented to the USB student team, which became the winner of the SAP BTP Exploration Workshop: Nomad HackFest hackathon, which took place from September 30 to November 22, 2024. The hackathon brought together more than 100 students from 10 leading universities of the country, business and IT companies to create innovative solutions based on real business cases. The USB team has developed a recruitment automation solution for Qarmet. An artificial intelligence-based service collects data from the HeadHunter platform and calculates the candidate's percentage of compliance with job requirements. This allows recruiters to focus on quality interaction with candidates and easily manage the recruitment process.
The students demonstrated a high level of training and a creative approach, which was noted by the company's experts.
"We attach great importance to ensuring that young talents have the opportunity to master modern technologies. That's why we work with all the leading universities around the world. And today we are very pleased that Temirtau University has also joined our University Alliance," said Yulia Stepantsova, a representative of SAP, a member of the Board of Directors.
