On December 6, a dialogue platform on the topic "Prevention of drug addiction among young people" was held in КarIU. The event was attended by students of Temirtau colleges and the university. It was about the consequences of illegal actions in the field of drug trafficking.
As part of the meeting, the students were shown a documentary film "Bookmark". The picture tells about the fate of real people who found themselves in prison for what they thought was a lucrative job. Many of those who were involved in the distribution of prohibited substances did not even imagine that criminal liability was provided for such an act, providing for a real term of 10 to 15 years. Minors are also sent to prison, there are no exceptions for them.
The speaker of the dialogue platform was Denis Samadurov, 25-time champion of the Karaganda region, four-time champion of Kazakhstan, two-time champion of the international boxing tournament "George the Victorious Cup". The once successful athlete became addicted to drugs and became addicted for about 12 years. Having lost all the most precious things in his life, he was able to pull himself together, give up the addiction and return to sports. Today, the former drug addict is engaged in social activities and actively promotes a healthy lifestyle.
"Guys, I'll tell you for sure, it won't work out that I tried it once and that's it," Denis assured the student youth. – Drugs, even the lightest ones, will make your life very difficult. Yes, there are some who throw. But sooner or later it will make itself felt. Don't even start! Don't you dare!"
During the event, students had the opportunity to ask questions to the speaker. The guys were interested in the reason why people become drug addicts, where they get the motivation to give up the habit, how drugs change lives.
At the end of the meeting, the students noted that the event turned out to be informative and useful. Such dialogue platforms are necessary for young people, because they provide knowledge that will help protect them from serious mistakes.
