On March 4, Baku hosted an open round table on "Strengthening cooperation in higher education between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan," attended by a large delegation from 22 leading universities in our country. Karaganda Industrial University was presented by Chairman of the Board – Rector of KarIU Bakhyt Zhautikov. In his report, he noted the importance of deepening strong ties between the two countries in the field of education and science, which will contribute to the successful organization of joint projects and events, scientific research, the development of academic, scientific and cultural mobility, the exchange of students, researchers, teachers and administrative staff, and the implementation of dual degree programs.
The signing of bilateral agreements between the leading universities of the two countries also took place within the framework of the round table. CarIU has signed a memorandum with three Azerbaijani universities at once: Baku State University, Azerbaijan Technical University and Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. The parties are confident that the joint efforts of the scientific communities will give a new impetus to the development of relations between the two peoples.
