КARIU AND AGH (POLAND) EXPAND SCIENTIFIC AND ACADEMIC COOPERATION

Karaganda Industrial University was visited by a delegation of scientists from the Stanislav Stashits Krakow Mining and Metallurgical Academy (AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow, Poland) on a business visit. It is one of the largest and most prestigious technical universities in Europe, known for its scientific achievements and high-level engineering training.

The delegation included leading professors and researchers specializing in various fields: mineral processing, development and operation of technological machines and equipment, as well as environmental protection. Their experience and scientific developments are of great interest to Kazakhstani colleagues, especially in the context of the modernization of the mining industry and the transition to more environmentally friendly and digital production processes.

Within the framework of the visit, a round table was held at the university with the participation of faculty, researchers, as well as representatives of the leadership of Karaganda Industrial University. During the meeting, prospects for bilateral cooperation between universities were discussed. The parties paid special attention to the possibilities of conducting joint scientific research, exchanging students and teachers, organizing internships and educational programs, as well as participating in international scientific projects.

Special attention was paid to the issues of training a new generation of engineering personnel, who are able to adapt to modern industrial requirements, possess digital tools and have interdisciplinary interaction skills.

Following the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Karaganda Industrial University and AGH University of Science and Technology. The document consolidated the parties' intentions to develop partnerships in the field of science and education, and also became the basis for further expansion of academic and research cooperation.

This visit has become a significant event in the life of the university and a vivid example of strengthening international cooperation. It opened up new opportunities for academic partnership, expansion of scientific contacts and exchange of experience between educational institutions of Poland and Kazakhstan. Karaganda Industrial University has confirmed its interest in developing sustainable ties with the world's leading technical universities and its willingness to actively participate in joint scientific and educational initiatives
