Tyumen Industrial University (TIU) hosted a working visit by a delegation of the Karaganda Industrial University (КarIU), consisting of the Dean of the Faculty of Energy, Transport and Management Systems and the Director of the Department of Academic Policy. The purpose of the three-day visit (May 26-28, 2025) was to discuss the development of two new joint educational programs.
We are talking about the two–degree bachelor's degree program "Energy supply of industrial facilities" (scheme 2+2: two years of study at КARIU and two years at TIU) and the joint master's degree program "Electric Power Engineering" (scheme 1 +1 or 1.5+0.5 - depending on the individual educational trajectory). The implementation of these programs will allow students to study according to the integrated curricula of two universities and receive competencies from two educational systems at once.
During the visit, a meeting of the joint working group was held, at which representatives of both universities reviewed in detail the content of the new programs and the mechanisms for their implementation. Following the meeting, agreements were reached on the coordination of work curricula and the organization of joint training. The parties outlined a plan for further work, including the exchange of teachers and the participation of КarIU and TIU students in joint educational projects starting from the new academic year.
