Dear residents of the city, parents of children and heads of educational institutions! We ask you to conduct preventive conversations with children about the rules of behavior on the street, explain to them simple rules of the road, prohibit children from being in the immediate vicinity of tram tracks.
Summer holidays are the most anticipated event in the life of every student and exciting for parents, because most of the free time children spend on the street. During this period, it is important not to forget about road safety.
I appeal to parents and legal representatives: be attentive to your children. Children are very active and inquisitive, but sometimes they can be careless. When playing outside, they do not always realize the danger posed by the road, the tram route. As a result, children become participants and victims of road accidents. As practice shows, during the school holidays, the number of road accidents involving children increases. This often happens due to the lack of proper attention and control by adults.
The greatest responsibility for the safety of children lies with parents. Teach children to follow traffic rules from an early age. Let your example teach disciplined behavior on the street not only your child, but also other children.
Before walking, remind children of simple traffic rules - do not play near the roadway, tram tracks, cross the road only in the prescribed place (along a pedestrian crossing), while be sure to make sure that the crossing is safe, remove the hood, remove the headphones and not be distracted by telephone conversations. Drive a bicycle, a means of individual mobility, depending on age and only in designated places. Approaching a pedestrian crossing, you need to dismount from your bike, personal mobility equipment and carry it next to you.
Discuss dangerous situations on the road with children. Explain how to avoid traps and how to behave properly near the roadway. In the dark and in conditions of insufficient visibility, use reflective elements.
Drivers of vehicles also need to be extremely careful, especially when finding children near the roadway, tram tracks and contact line. Their behaviour is unpredictable, so always be prepared to stop. Especially careful need to be near educational institutions and places of mass accumulation of children.
We urge you to comply with paragraph 125 of Chapter 18 of the SDA RK "outside intersections where tram tracks cross the carriageway, the tram has an advantage over trackless vehicles, except for cases of departure from the depot" (Order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 30, 2023 No. 534 "On approval of the Rules of the Road, the Basic Provisions for the Admission of Vehicles to Operation, the list of operational and special services whose transport is subject to equipment with special light and sound signals and painting according to special color schemes").
