Representatives of Karaganda Industrial University took part in a meeting with EU ambassadors led by Kestutis Jankauskas, EU Ambassador to Kazakhstan, held at the Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical Council in Karaganda on May 31, 2025.
During the meeting, scientists from Karaganda Industrial University, representing the departments of "Technological Machines and Transport", "Chemical Technology and Ecology" and "Metallurgy and Materials Science" presented to the guests the research results obtained during the implementation of the following scientific projects:
1) "Production of technical silicon from briquetted microsilicon of dry gas purification";
2) "Production of silicomanganese from high-iron manganese ores of Kazakhstan";
3) "Increasing the yield of suitable agglomerate during agglomeration of small fractions of phosphorite ores";
4) "Investigation of the effect of micro/nanoparticles, industrial waste and shear on the quality of metal blanks for mechanical engineering";
5) "Development and research of a technological method for the implementation of intense shear deformations during rolling in calibrated rolls";
6) "Development of an integrated technology for the production of road construction materials based on blast furnace waste";
7) "Development of technologies for obtaining functional means and products based on plant raw materials and waste from metallurgical production."
The participation of Karaganda Industrial University in the meeting with representatives of the European Union highlighted the high level of scientific potential of the university and its readiness for international cooperation. The presented scientific projects aroused keen interest among diplomats, as they reflect current trends in the field of ecology, industrial waste recycling, metallurgy and innovative engineering. Such meetings contribute to strengthening ties between Kazakhstani scientists and the international community, opening up new opportunities for joint research and technological development.
