On June 12, 2025, a meeting of representatives of the scientific intelligentsia was held on the basis of the Karaganda Industrial University. The event was held within the framework of the "Law and Order" Concept, the Concept of the Anti-Corruption Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026 and in accordance with the agreement on joint activities between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Public Association "Zhanaru".
The meeting began with a tour of the university, during which the participants got acquainted with the scientific infrastructure and educational programs of Karaganda Industrial University.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the role of the scientific community in shaping legal awareness, strengthening law and order in the country, as well as promoting anti-corruption initiatives in the educational and scientific fields.
The event was attended by scientists, university professors, college leaders, and government officials. During the meeting, reports and presentations were made on ethics, academic integrity, and cooperation between science and society in the fight against corruption.
Special attention was paid to the formation of sustainable values among students, fostering civic responsibility and strengthening trust in government institutions through the prevention of corruption offenses.
Among the speakers are Rector of KarIU Bakhyt Zhautikov, Chairman of the Maslikhat of Temirtau Alexey Lomakin, Chairman of the NGO "Zhanaru" Mels Semgaliev, representative of the Anti—Corruption Agency Beibit Mamraev and others.
- Our task as public figures is to discuss, implement, and communicate to the public the main points of the anti-corruption Concept. Only together can we win. It is important that every citizen of society is aware of his responsibility not only to the state, but also to his fellow citizens," Beibit Mamrayev explained.
He also noted that within the framework of the event, the ranks of the Zhanaru Public Association were replenished with another good manager. The rector of КarIU was appointed director of the Karaganda branch.
- This is a very reputable organization and the fact that they trusted us shows that Temirtau is a city that actively fights for the future of our youth. We have a lot of experience in this," Bakhyt Zhautikov assured
At the end of the meeting, a dialogue platform was held where participants discussed topical issues in the field of education and upbringing of youth, as well as environmental issues relevant to both the city and the entire region.
The initiative was highly appreciated by the participants, who expressed their willingness to further cooperate in the implementation of national priorities for ensuring law and order.
