КARIU IS A PLATFORM FOR INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC DIALOGUE
On October 15, the XIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative Technologies and Engineering” was held, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the city of Temirtau, organized by the Karaganda Industrial University and the Karaganda branch of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event brought together more than 200 participants — scientists, engineers, students, business representatives and government authorities, becoming a significant milestone in the development of scientific, educational and industrial potential of the region. 155 scientific reports from participants from Poland, Bulgaria, Malaysia, the Republic of Belarus, Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation were registered during the conference.
Three key sections were held during the conference:
Section 1: “New materials, green technologies and innovative solutions in industry”
The experts discussed advanced developments in the field of environmentally friendly technologies and materials that can significantly improve production efficiency and reduce the negative impact on the environment. Attention was paid to the implementation of sustainable solutions in heavy industry.
Section 2: “Digital engineering, energy and construction as drivers of the industry of the future”
The experts discussed the role of digital technologies in the development of the energy and construction sectors, which can form the basis for sustainable and high-tech growth. Presentations on smart cities and innovations in the energy sector were particularly interesting.
Section 3: “Knowledge economy, innovation management and transformation of education for sustainable development”
The section addressed the issues of improving educational programs aimed at training specialists for the knowledge economy. The participants shared their experience in implementing innovative management methods and educational technologies.

— Agnieszka Dąbska, PhD Professor, Warsaw University of Technology, Poland
—Kaloyan Hristov, PhD Professor, Sofia Technical University, Bulgaria
One of the key results of the conference was the agreement on international cooperation between Karaganda Industrial University and Sofia Technical University. This agreement opens up new prospects for joint research activities, academic exchange of students and teachers, as well as the implementation of international projects in the field of engineering and innovative technologies.
