On December 4, a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation was signed in Temirtau between JSC «Qarmet» and the Non-profit Joint Stock Company «Karaganda Industrial University». The document formalizes the partnership in personnel training, research activities, and the introduction of innovations in the mining and metallurgical industry. The parties agreed to combine resources for the development of dual education, digital technologies, professional development, and the training of highly qualified scientific personnel.
The agreement provides for the creation of an integrated scientific and educational environment, support for teaching internships, expert evaluation of educational programs, as well as the enterprise’s participation in forming the university’s endowment fund. The implementation of the action plan will be carried out through the authorized representatives of the parties; the funding of research projects will be determined by separate contracts.
Rector of KarIU Bakhyt Zhautikhov noted:
“Cooperation with industrial enterprises is dynamic and important work. For many years, JSC «Qarmet» has remained our reliable partner: together we develop practice-oriented training, internships, and create conditions for scientific and technological progress. The signing of the memorandum opens new horizons and confirms that we are moving in the right direction.”
Chairman of the Management Board of JSC «Qarmet» Vadim Basin emphasized the importance of professional personnel:
“For an industrial enterprise, people are the main resource. Qualified specialists and workers ensure the stability and development of production. Therefore, cooperation with the university is strategically important for us.”
