On December 25, the final meeting of the Board of Directors of the Non-Commercial Joint-Stock Company “Karaganda Industrial University” was held, summarizing the outcomes of a productive and eventful year in 2025.
The year 2025 was marked by active and systematic work for the University and the Board of Directors. During the reporting period, nine meetings of the Board of Directors and sixteen meetings of the Board committees were held. Members of the Board of Directors maintained continuous interaction with the University staff, discussing key issues related to institutional development, improvement of the governance system, and the phased transition of the University to digital transformation. Work in this area has been carried out on a systematic and planned basis.
Within the framework of the final meeting, strategically important decisions determining the further development of the University were reviewed and approved. These included the annual update of the Development Plan of the NJSC “Karaganda Industrial University” for 2025–2029 (the 2026 period), the annual work plan of the Internal Audit Service for 2026, changes to the organizational structure, internal regulatory documents, the work plans of the Board of Directors and the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service for 2026, as well as the appointment of the University’s compliance officer.
In 2025, significant stages in the development of corporate governance were implemented: a new composition of the Board of Directors was formed, and the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service, the Internal Audit Service, and the Ombudsman operated consistently and effectively. In parallel, efforts are underway to introduce digital solutions into management and educational processes, contributing to increased transparency, efficiency, and quality of decision-making.
Based on the year’s results, steady implementation of the University’s Development Program was noted, along with the active expansion of international cooperation and progress in digital transformation aimed at enhancing competitiveness and the quality of educational services. The role of Karaganda Industrial University in the socio-economic development of the region has been significantly strengthened.
Special gratitude is expressed to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, for his systematic support and strategic vision for the development of higher education. The consistent state policy and attention of the Ministry provide a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the University.
I sincerely congratulate the University staff and our partners on the upcoming New Year. May the New Year bring warmth, confidence, and inspiration to every home, and may it bring new achievements, strong unity, and reasons for pride to our University. May all planned initiatives be successfully implemented, and may the efforts made yield достойные results.
