KARIU STUDENT IMPROVED THE MOTHERBOARD

Aydin is a future electric power engineer, and she built her business card on the presentation of the word «energy», emphasizing that her specialty is the basis of the entire industrial complex of our country! It should be noted that the girl came out on her business card in electrician’s work clothes, not hesitating to put on huge rubber galoshes, gloves and a hard hat! She was not equal in this competition, as Aydin very confidently answered all the tricky questions of the jury members, demonstrating her intelligence, sociability, deep and competent knowledge of Kazakh, Russian and English, and, of course, her future profession. At the creative competition, a student of Kariu professionally and energetically performed a festive kui on dombra, congratulating all those present on the upcoming 25th anniversary Of independence of Kazakhstan!
THE DEBUT WAS A SUCCESS!
On October 8, the Palace of culture hosted the city KVN championship of the Kazakh League, which was attended by 11 teams of educational institutions in Temirtau, as well as guests from Karaganda, Saran and Karkaralinsk.
The young KVN team of our University «Serpin Serileri», which was represented by first-year students of Ftmia and FMIS, played in the Top League. The children were trained very professionally under the guidance of the cult organizer Kariu Sundet Raimbekov. As a result of a hard fight, our guys, showing the best level of performance, unconditionally won the Grand Prix.
KARIU STUDENT AWARDED THE GOLD MEDAL OF THE OPEN ASIAN CUP
A second-year student of Karaganda industrial University Viktor Stepanov took first place in the 200-meter canoe single among juniors, and in the two-meter canoe at the same distance with his partner from Shymkent Mikhail Yemelyanov they managed to take «silver». Daria Razumovich won two gold medals in the two-man kayak and one in the four-man kayak among juniors. One first place among juniors in a canoe-four on 1000 m in the asset of the schoolboy Roman Ivanov.
KARIU STUDENTS TOOK AN ACTIVE PART IN THE QUARTER FINAL OF THE WORLD PROGRAMMING CHAMPIONSHIP
On October 22, 2016, Nazarbayev University hosted the quarterfinals of the world programming championship among student teams– «The 41th ACM ICPC 2016-2017, NEERC, Kazakhstan Subregional Contest».
Only two universities from the Karaganda region participated: our University and Karaganda state technical University.
The team of Karaganda industrial University included students Prokhorovich Daniil, group Vtipo-15, Kuntush Ivan, group Vtipo-15, and Kim Vasily, group Vtipo-14. Coaches – Canova Anastasia Olegovna and Toxic Zhusupova Dinara.
KARIU STUDENTS BECAME ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS OF THE TORCH RELAY OF THE 28TH WORLD WINTER UNIVERSIADE-2017 IN TEMIRTAU
The 28th world winter Universiade Almaty 2017 Is the most important sporting event and achievement of Independent Kazakhstan!
The Universiade is an international student sports competition held under the auspices of the International student sports Federation (FISU). For the first time in the history of sovereign Kazakhstan, the world winter student games will be held in Almaty. We were given a unique opportunity to become not only witnesses, but also active participants in one of the largest international sports events – the 28th world winter Universiade Almaty 2017, because it was in Temirtau that the Universiade Flame was born. The scope of the current Universiade is amazing.
2000 athletes from more than 55 countries take part in the Winter Universiade competitions in Almaty. 3,000 volunteers, including those from abroad and from the country’s regions, are involved in the event. These events will forever go down in the sporting history of our country!
The Torch relay is an essential attribute of major sports forums, which is not inferior to the competition itself in terms of its scale and intensity of passion. One of the first regions where the Universiade Flame was lit after Astana was Karaganda region. The residents of Temirtau were given a high honor and trust not only to witness this event, but also to take a direct part in it. We are extremely proud that students of our Karaganda Industrial University took part in such a Grand event! 61 student Cariou has applied to the honourable mission of the torchbearers. 7 best of them were selected during the final third stage, in Almaty, by the Universiade Directorate. These Are: Yuri Abushakhmanov, Alikhan Balkybekov, Zamira Arapova, Viktor Stepanov, Maksat Omirtaev, Tatyana Silayeva, Sungat Karipzhanov. This is truly the best of the best! 20 of our students also had the honor to participate in the Torch Relay as volunteers.
THE FIRST-YEAR STUDENT OF THE COLLEGE AT KARIU WON THE TITLE OF THE BEAUTY CONTEST «MISS SNOW QUEEN»
Charming makeup, high heels and chic dresses – on January 27, Cariou hosted the beauty contest «Miss snow Queen».
Our University was represented by Daria Korepanova, a 3rd-year student of the faculty of Economics, and Victoria Kalinovskaya, a 1st-year student of the College at Kariu.
The title» Miss snow Queen « was won by Victoria Kalinovskaya, a first-year student of the College at KarIU. The girl admitted that she had previously participated in such competitions, but this was the first time she took part in an urban competition. «It only took us a week to prepare, and the excitement was huge, but I hope we managed to do it and showed a decent level. When I found out that I had won, I was undoubtedly happy, it is beyond words…My goal was achieved, «the newly minted» Miss snow Queen « shares her impressions.
MORE THAN FIVE HUNDRED KARIU STUDENTS WERE THE FIRST IN THEIR REGION TO VISIT EXPO-2017
On June 12 and 13, more than 500 University students were among the first in the Karaganda region to visit the EXPO exhibition in an organized manner.
EXPO-2017 is the largest project of independent Kazakhstan and a truly amazing event in the life of our country. Students visited all the pavilions of the exhibition, getting a lot of positive emotions.
– 2nd year student Tursynbek Sundet: «I was struck by the scale of the exhibition, it is located in the EXPO town. This is the world’s first completely self-sufficient Autonomous area of the city, which fully provides itself with energy. The architects developed a unique construction plan, which took into account every detail. For example, around the perimeter of the town there are wind turbines that will generate energy. This is great.»
– 3rd year student Abylkhasymova Aigerim: «our attention was drawn to the unusual nature of the Kazakh pavilion, made in the form of a sphere. In my opinion, it is the most interesting, as it presents various thematic halls «Solar energy», «space Energy», «Astana of the future», «World of energy», «Energy for the future», «Energy for all» and many others. We clearly saw the opportunities for further development of green technologies in our country. My emotions from what I saw cannot be expressed in words: I was so impressed by the scope of what I saw, we were shown how wide the possibilities of alternative energy sources, their safety and environmental friendliness are.»

On the basis of the Karaganda industrial University, the Cisco Network Academy of the Kazakh Academy of infocommunication has started training 60 teachers of computer science in secondary schools and colleges of the Karaganda region in the course «ITEssentials». All teachers will have permanent access to the database of updated educational resources of the Cisco Network Academy for use in the educational process of educational institutions.

In order to fulfill the Message, to introduce elements of the Fourth industrial revolution and digitalization of the economy, Kariu in cooperation with the Cisco Network Academy has become the base platform for the introduction of the latest digital technologies and training of new personnel with digital skills in the Karaganda region. The University has the necessary material and technical base to create this platform for training, advanced training and retraining of personnel. Cisco is a global leader in network technologies. The government of Kazakhstan signed an agreement under which Cisco will support the government program «Digital Kazakhstan». Cisco has announced a planned series of initiatives in Kazakhstan that will help accelerate the country’s digital transformation over the next three years.

On August 16, Karaganda industrial University held a meeting with a foreign delegation-academicians and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences in order to develop mutually beneficial international cooperation in research activities.
The guests also had a guided tour of the unique material and technical base of the University. During the tour, the guests visited the laboratory of electric power engineering and automation of technical systems, the laboratory of engineering profile «Electron microscopy and nanotechnology», the experimental industrial site of the center of metallurgy, and others.
As a result of the meeting, memoranda of cooperation were signed between KarIU and the Academy of mining Sciences and the Institute for integrated development of mineral resources. academician N. V. Melnikov «RAS, JSC «Rosugol», LLC «Institute of coal market conjuncture» and LLP «Karaganda machine-building consortium».
