KARAGANDA STATE INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY HELD A MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE POLISH DELEGATION FROM THE AGH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
On September 2, 2019, Karaganda state industrial University hosted a meeting with representatives of the Polish delegation from the AGH Scientific and technical University. The purpose of the meeting is to achieve the most favorable conditions for business mutually beneficial international cooperation in research activities in the fields of engineering and materials science, including new materials and nanotechnology, as well as robotics and automation of production processes, mechatronics. In addition, to work out the issues of training of undergraduates and doctoral students of KGIU in AGH Scientific and technical University and issues of co-leadership of master’s and doctoral theses.
AGH University of Science and technology is the largest technical higher education institution in Poland, and is considered one of the best Polish technical universities.
The meeting was attended by Marcin Kot-Professor of mechanical engineering and materials science, Jacek Cieslik-Professor of the Department of production systems, mechatronics and modern automation of production, faculty of mechanical engineering and robotics AGH University of Science and technology.
Tasks:
• improving the quality of training and advanced training of scientific and pedagogical personnel;
• creation of conditions for training and retraining of personnel, ensuring the increase of innovative activity in the system of education and science, commercialization of research results;
• joint organization of scientific and practical conferences and seminars;
• joint participation and development of programs of international cooperation in the field of science of innovative technologies, integration into the world scientific, educational and information system, development of joint research projects for participation in competitions of international funds and organizations;
• exchange of students, undergraduates, PhD students for training, research, internships;
• co-conducting courses and seminars, management of master’s, PhD – doctoral dissertations;
• joint preparation and publication of educational and methodical literature in order to update and create new textbooks, manuals based on scientific research, scientific articles indexed in the databases Web of Science and Scopus.
Following the meeting, arrangements for the programs of academic mobility and scientific training undergraduates, PhD students, faculty, publication of joint scientific works etc. carried out a study tour with the material-technical base of the University, also met with the teaching staff of University and undergraduates. Following the meeting, it is planned to work together on project works, state budget topics, master’s theses, joint publication of articles and monographs.
STUDENTS OF KSIU TOOK AN ACTIVE PART IN THE III SUMMIT OF STUDENT LEADERS OF THE SCO COUNTRIES IN THE ALTAI REPUBLIC OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION.
Students of KSIU Shirman Alexander and Bobylev Artem took part in the III Summit of student leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, held in the city of Gorno-Altaysk of the Russian Federation.
The III Student Leadership Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held from November 27 to 30, 2019. The summit was attended by over 100 representatives of 6 countries. Only 10 children from Kazakhstan took part, of which two representatives of the Karaganda region are students of the Karaganda State Industrial University.
The SCO Student Leadership Summit is an international event traditionally held in Altai, which annually brings together student leaders from member countries, observers and dialogue partners of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The Summit participants were determined on the basis of a portfolio contest, in the framework of which the experience of activities in the field of students and the implementation of socially significant projects on key topics of the Summit were taken into account.
Participants, guests and experts were waited by the educational, cultural, creative and tourist program. As part of the Summit program, a series of master classes, panel discussions, round tables and lectures on key areas of activity of student associations were held.
The grand closing took place in the hall of the Academic Council of the Altai State University. The result of a three-day fruitful work was a resolution containing recommendations for improving the system of student self-government, youth project activities and the educational process. Based on the results of the vote, the draft resolution was adopted unanimously and will be finalized by participants and organizers in the course of further work and communication.
An important step in the development of partnerships and friendships between youth organizations at the international ice level was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the chairman of the All-Russian Student Union Oleg Tsapko and the Secretary General of the Omsk international UN model Vrezhik Fagradyan, who combined their organizations to work on relevant projects.
After summing up and presenting certificates, participants, organizers and experts were able to communicate and take stock in an informal setting.
LEADERSHIP ASSET KSIU PARTICIPATED IN A REGIONAL SEMINAR-TRAINING
On September 16-17, 2019 in Karaganda the Public Association “development Center” infiniti ” organized a set of training events, which included training seminars and master classes on the following topics: “Personal growth”, “Psychology of family relations”, “Public presentation” and “Effective time management”.
This event was organized with the support of the Ministry of information and social development of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the framework of the grant project of the non-profit joint stock company “center for support of civil initiatives” on “a Set of measures for methodological support of youth and family policy”.
The two-day seminar was attended by employees and representatives of the youth resource center of Karaganda, the Committee on youth Affairs of regional universities, youth public associations of Karaganda region. Professional psychologists of the trainer were also invited for the purpose of qualitative and effective implementation of this social project.
The training was actively attended by 24 students of Karaganda state industrial University, members of the Committee on youth Affairs. In the theoretical part of the seminar participants learned about the various theories of leadership, types and qualities of the leader, as well as learned what exercises contribute to self-development and development of leadership qualities.
In addition, students practiced important in modern life skills of teamwork, getting out of the” comfort zone”, the development of strategic thinking, proactivity. In the practical part of the students in a lively discussion discussed the issues and participated in group exercises that develop mindfulness, leadership skills, and team spirit.
At the end of the two-day training seminar, our active students were awarded certificates.
WORLD FORUM AND EXHIBITION OF UNIVERSITIES QS WORLDWIDE-2019
On September 19-20, al-Farabi Kazakh national University hosted the world forum and exhibition of universities QS WORLDWIDE-2019. The purpose and objectives of holding events of international scale, aimed at implementation of the state program “Rouhani ganguro,” improving the competitiveness of domestic higher education.
“QS WORLDWIDE “is one of the authoritative international events held by the British rating Agency”QS”. The forum is a global platform for the exchange of experience and discussion of prospects for the development of higher education and the formation of world-class universities, internationalization and improvement of the quality of education.
The founder of the consulting company “QS” Nunzio Quacquarelli speaking at the international conference “QS WORLDWIDE” held in 2018 in Moscow, stressed that Kazakhstan occupies the 37th place in the ranking of countries with the strongest education systems, and universities show a good progress in the international rankings.
The theme of the third world forum was “the Way to global heights: the harmony of human heritage and advanced technologies”.
The event was attended by over 800 academic leaders – University rectors, scientists and experts from more than 50 countries. Among them: representatives of the UN, UNESCO and other international organizations, world-known companies as Microsoft, the BBC, Elsevier, Springer, Nature, YODAK, AKSON; heads of universities comprising the top 800 of the international rating QS “World University Rankings”; the members of the SUN, USRN, international Association of ranking organizations and universities IREG Observatory, experts from the European network for accreditation of engineering education ENAEE.
The program of the international conference was very rich – there were plenary sessions, panel discussions, business meetings and signing of memorandums of cooperation. During these meetings there were discussions and development of a new model for the future development of universities in the framework of integration of education, science, advanced technologies and spiritual values.
Such a large-scale event testifies to the growing authority of the higher education system of Kazakhstan in the international arena. In addition, it will give a good impetus and will allow us to move to a qualitatively new high level of domestic higher education.
THE WAY TO THE FUTURE BEGINS WITH EVERYONE
On September 18-19, students of Karaganda state industrial university took part in a two-day training seminar “The way to the future begins with everyone”, which was held in the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy in Nur-Sultan.
Within two days, our students took a course of lectures developed by leading researchers and Libraries of the Nation: the message of the First President of Kazakhstan N. And. Nazarbayev 2018 “New possibilities of development in the fourth industrial revolution, Growth of welfare of Kazakhstan: increase of income and quality of life,” article “Bolashakka Badar: Rouhani air” and “Seven faces of the great steppe”, and the book of the President “Era of independence”, as well as the President’s address K. K. Tokaev “Constructive public dialogue – the Foundation of stability and prosperity of Kazakhstan”.
During the training, students not only listened to a course of lectures on the main program documents of the country, but also gained skills in the development of social projects, took part in a training on leadership development, got acquainted with the expositions of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy and the National Museum of Kazakhstan.
– In the course of participation in the training seminar, we learned a lot of interesting and little-known facts from the history of our country and the life of Elbasy. It was very interesting to see the exhibits relating to his biography, labor and political activities. The lectures were very informative and easy to understand. Most importantly, we realized that for our future, and therefore for the future of Kazakhstan, we are responsible. We got new experience at trainings and practical classes, met with the guys from the West Kazakhstan state University, and we are very happy about it,-shared his impressions Kirill Villains, 2nd year student of the faculty of energy, automation and control of Karaganda state industrial University.
The hero of this meeting was a doctoral student of Nazarbayev University, co-founder and Director of the startup company “ReLive”, Vice-Chairman of the NGO “Alliance of young scientists” Beibit Abdikenov. Beibit specializes in data analysis and bioinformatics, currently developing a prognostic model for breast cancer. And the company “ReLive”, which he heads, offers modern robotic rehabilitation for patients after stroke and neurological disorders. The company’s innovative solution includes hardware and software for reading and recognizing brain signals, microcontroller and upper limb exoskeleton. The system allows you to mentally control the exoskeleton (artificial limbs), which will speed up the recovery process of patients. Currently, the prototype has passed the preliminary verification work and is fully operational.
The guest told the children about his path to science, urging them to learn and educate themselves, not to succumb to difficulties on the way to achieving the goal. The students asked a lot of questions, which Beibit gladly answered.
These two days were the most intense for the youth of our University. Students received new information about the history of our country, realized its inextricable connection with the present day. Children not only listened to lectures, but also had an opportunity to discuss with each other and lecturers. During the training part, students received valuable knowledge and skills that will further strengthen and develop their leadership qualities.
The training seminar “the Way to the future begins with everyone” showed the way, the direction in which our state is moving and all of us should move.

TEACHER OF THE DEPARTMENT “METAL FORMING” PANIN EVGENY TOOK FIRST PLACE AT THE XXII INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL CONFERENCE KONTECH ” ADVANCED MOLDING TECHNOLOGY AND NANO-STRUCTURED MATERIALS»
On September 18-20, 2019, the XXII international scientific and technical conference KONTECH “Advanced molding technologies and nano structured materials”was held in Opalenica, Poland. The conference program included plenary sessions, poster session and anniversary session of the 70th anniversary of the Institute of Metalworking.
The aim of the conference is to increase the innovation and development of the Polish economy through the integration and cooperation of science and industry.
The thematic scope of the conference included mechanical engineering and materials science in the field of Metalworking, including: solid molding, sheet molding, technology of molding parts from powder materials, nanotechnology and nanomaterials, issues related to machines and tools, process modeling and devices, as well as biotechnology and biomaterials.
Teacher of the Department “metal forming” Panin Evgeny took first place in the competition “The most interesting stand”, entitled “Research technology for ultra-thin materials for use as materials in nuclear power” presented during the poster session at the XXII international scientific and technical conference KONTECH “Advanced molding technology and nano-structured materials”.
GREATER EURASIA: DIALOGUE. TRUST. PARTNERSHIP
On September 23-24, Nur Sultan hosted the IV Meeting of speakers of parliaments of Eurasia on the theme “Greater Eurasia: Dialogue. Trust. Partnership».
The event is timed to the 25th anniversary of the idea of Eurasian integration, initiated by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev. This initiative was the starting point for a new historical process, which is now called Eurasian integration. This integration process is based on economic pragmatism, respect for the sovereignty and independence of States, voluntary integration, equality and openness of the Eurasian space.
The Meeting was attended by delegations of parliaments of more than 60 countries of Europe and Asia, as well as representatives of international and inter-parliamentary organizations such as the OSCE and CSTO parliamentary assemblies, inter-parliamentary Union, Asian parliamentary Assembly, CICA, OIC Parliamentary Union, etc.Chairman of the Majilis Nurlan Nigmatulin met with a number of speakers who arrived in Kazakhstan to participate in the meeting.
The parliamentary event of such a high level in Kazakhstan is held for the first time in order to establish a direct multilateral dialogue between the heads of legislative bodies of the Eurasian States, strengthen confidence and further expand inter-parliamentary cooperation.
At the IV Meeting of the speakers of the parliaments of the Eurasian countries, discussions were held on the promotion of integration processes on the Eurasian continent, including the implementation of multilateral projects in the economic sphere, legislative support for the development of the digital economy and digital sovereignty of States, environmental protection, countering terrorism and strengthening security.

The meeting discussed the duties of the departments and centers of the APK in the implementation of the address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Constructive public dialogue – the basis of stability and prosperity of Kazakhstan”.

The meeting discussed the methodology and scientific and expert support of the APK, expanding the activities of the APK departments of universities in the implementation of ethnic policy of Kazakhstan. In the form of a dialogue platform discussed the problems and difficulties in the activities of the departments of the APK, summarized proposals and sent to the highest authorities – the MES and the Secretariat of the APK.
In addition, the priorities in the activities of the APK departments and their participation in the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of al-Farabi, 175th anniversary of Abai, 25th anniversary of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war, 25th anniversary of the Constitution, 30th anniversary of Independence.
At the end of the meeting, all participants were handed letters of thanks and a book of The First President.
INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION SHOW INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION FAIR – 2019
On October 5, Nur Sultan hosted the International education Fair 2019. The purpose of this event is to expand the prospects of international cooperation in the field of education with further integration into the world educational space, popularization of foreign education, as well as exchange of experience in the implementation of international educational projects.
The event was attended by more than 300 universities from 50 countries, including leading universities in the United States, great Britain, continental Europe, Asia and the CIS. In addition, the exhibition was attended by language schools, educational agencies, representatives of international scholarship programs. From our University, the event was attended by the Vice-rector for research and international relations of KSIU Aikeeva Altyn Amanzholovna.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a panel session on ” Education in the digital environment. New opportunities for everyone”, as well as seminars and training for applicants and representatives of foreign and Kazakh universities.
Visitors of the exhibition had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the educational programs of leading foreign universities. To date, about two hundred European universities allocate educational grants for Kazakhstanis. 20 thousand of our citizens have the opportunity to study abroad for free. Only at the moment about 150 thousand Kazakhstanis study in foreign universities. Thanks to such a large-scale event as the international education Fair-2019, the number of students may increase to 4 hundred by the next years.
ITHE TEAM OF KSIU “IRONBORN” BECAME THE VICE-CHAMPION OF THE LEAGUE” IRTYSH-PREMIER»
On October 10, the final of the open League championship of KVN “Irtysh-Premier” was held in the Palace of culture named after Estai in Pavlodar. In total, 6 teams competed in the final, among which was the team of KSIU “Ironborn”.
Creative and creative approach was seen in the participants’ scenes. In all competitions, the teams felt the competitive spirit and tried to fully defeat the opponent. In the hall there was a positive atmosphere, there was a lot of laughter, joy and fun. Great support was provided by the audience, who were rooting for their favorite teams.
At the end of the final, the team “Ironborn” became the Vice-champion of the League “Irtysh-Premier”.
PROFESSOR FROM THE POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF CATALONIA MALCOLM CAMPBELL BURNS VISITED KSIU
From 7 to 11 October 2019, Professor Malcolm Campbell Burns from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain) arrived in our University within the framework of the program “Erasmus+: international credit mobility” in order to achieve the most favorable conditions for business mutually beneficial international cooperation in research and educational activities with a working visit.
Polytechnic University of Catalonia – one of the elite universities in Spain, a kind of engine of social and economic change. The University is in the top 5% of the most famous and prestigious educational institutions on the planet.
During the week, the administrative and teaching staff of KSIU conducted trainings for the Professor on various topics. The issues of internationalization of Kazakh universities, development of educational programs, prospects of development of higher and postgraduate education, etc. were touched upon. the Professor was acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as with the peculiarities of the Kazakh language. In more detail, he studied the scientific and technical base of the university, the quality management system, the educational process, the research work carried out.
As a result of the week of training, agreements were reached on joint participation in the Erasmus+program, publication of joint scientific works, etc., joint work on project works and state budget topics is planned.
TEAM KVN “GIANLUIGI BUFFON” SHOWED BRILLIANT GAME ON FESTIVAL OMSK LEAGUE KVN AND HAS PASSED IN SEASON SUPERIOR LEAGUE
The KVN team of Karaganda state industrial University “Gianluigi Buffon” on October 26, 2019 successfully performed at the festival of the Omsk KVN League and won the little Fox in the bronze, thereby paving the way to the season Of the highest Omsk KVN League, which was attended by 19 teams from Russia and Kazakhstan.

DOCTORAL STUDENTS OF KARAGANDA STATE INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY TOOK PART IN THE IV ASIAN STUDENT FORUM ” TAJIKISTAN-ASIA-2019»
From 24 to 27 October 2019, doctoral students of Karaganda state industrial university took part in the IV Asian student forum “Tajikistan-Asia-2019”, held under the auspices Of the Association of Asian universities on the basis of the Tajik national university of Dushanbe.
The forum was organized by the Association of Asian universities (http://www.aauniv.org), Tajik national university, Republic of Tajikistan, Dushanbe (http://www.tnu.tj) and Altai state university, Barnaul, Russian Federation (http://www.asu.ru).
The forum was aimed at promoting the development of scientific, educational and cultural cooperation among young people of the Asian region; creating conditions for professional, social and creative self-realization of students of Asian countries; supporting initiatives aimed at the implementation of international scientific, educational, cultural, educational and sports projects; development of network interaction between universities of Asian countries, including within the framework of associations of universities, such as the Association of Asian universities.
The IV Asian student forum was attended by students, postgraduates, doctoral students, students and other representatives of the University communities of the leading universities of the Eurasian States: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan, and other countries.
The main directions of the forum: education without borders; scientific breakthrough; intercultural dialogue; leader of the 21st century; social design in the youth environment. All presented projects were aimed at the development of international youth cooperation Of the Association of Asian universities.
Within the framework of the forum, the organizers prepared a cultural and creative program, an exhibition of objects of historical and cultural heritage of the Tajik people, a rich tour of the main attractions of Dushanbe.
At the end of the forum, the organizers were awarded diplomas for active participation and prizes to all participants.
The forum became a platform not only for educational and socially significant projects, but also brought together all representatives of Asian countries, promoted intercultural dialogue and the development of international cooperation of universities.
KARAGANDA STATE INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY EXPANDS HORIZONS OF COOPERATION WITH US UNIVERSITIES
On November 7, 2019, Karaganda state industrial university held a round table meeting with representatives of Cintana Education (USA): Head of the region MENA PhD Wadiah Atiyah, Jeny Orlova and representatives of Kazakhstan universities.
Wadiah Atiyah has extensive experience in the United States and abroad in establishing and managing universities, strategic vision and mission planning for academic institutions, creating and developing innovative academic programs, managing quality assurance, shaping accreditation life cycles, creating private public partnerships, and managing investments.
In addition to foreign guests, the meeting was attended by representatives of universities of Kazakhstan, such as ENU. L. N. Gumilyov: Seilov Shakhmaran Zhursinbekovich-President of the Kazakh Academy of info communication, Dean of the faculty of information technology, KarSU. E. A. Buketov:

The purpose of this meeting is to expand international cooperation with U.S. universities, create a single platform for the training of competitive personnel with higher and postgraduate education, improve the quality of scientific and educational activities in accordance with international standards.
Tasks:
• joint development and implementation of international programs in the field of science, innovative technologies, integration into the world scientific, educational and information system;
• joint development and promotion of innovative academic programs of double-degree education with U.S. universities;
• academic mobility of teaching staff and students of KSIU.
During the meeting, the guests of our University had a familiarization tour with the material and technical base. The delegation visited the Regional center of Cisco Networking Academy, Information and communication center “SOTSBI”, the lab-factory 3D engineering and Festa laboratories, the laboratory of engineering profile “electron microscopy and nanotechnology” educational and scientific production center “metallurgy”, where they could see the pilot site, “Metallurgical processes” and current models the full cycle of blast furnace and Converter production.
Following the meeting, the issues of improving the educational system in Kazakhstan, the development of academic and business strategies of universities, the creation of a single platform for the training of competitive personnel with higher and postgraduate education with us universities in the framework of double-degree education were discussed.
International cooperation is an integral part of the activity of Karaganda state industrial University, as one of the leading universities of the Republic, and an important tool in ensuring the quality of education in accordance with international standards, which is aimed at improving the position of our University in the higher education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and further integration into the world educational and scientific community.
At the end of the event, the participants of the delegation agreed that this meeting will definitely serve as a new vector of long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation between domestic and foreign universities.

On November 15, 2019, Karaganda state industrial university hosted a meeting of students-citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan with Ambassador Extraordinary And Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan Niyazhodzhayev Saidikram Parakhatovich and Consul of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan.
The meeting had fact-finding character . During the event, Mr. Niyazhodzhayev noted the importance of trust provided by the leadership of the Karaganda state industrial university with Uzbek side, and held awareness-raising discussion on matters relating to consular registration and travel, spoke about the work being done by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan, encouraged the students to be good citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, but at the same time follow the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to be polite, responsible, as the main task of students today – this is to finish a decent education at our University, get a diploma and become a highly qualified specialist.
Mr. Ambassador then spoke about the events held within the framework of cultural exchange between the two countries, focused on the upcoming elections to the Parliament of the Republic of Uzbekistan, spoke about how students studying at our University, who are citizens of Uzbekistan, can cast their votes in future elections. STUDENT OF THE 3RD COURSE OF KSIU RAKHIMGAN OMIRZHOL TOOK FIRST PLACE IN THE REPUBLICAN DEBATE TOURNAMENT “HIGHER THEN THE SKY— 2019”
On November 16-17, 2019, debaters of the Abadan club of Karaganda state industrial university took an active part in the Republican debate tournament “Aspannan ulken — 2019”, organized by the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Leader of the nation N. A. Nazarbayev and The Alliance of debaters of Astana, the venue was the city of Nur – Sultan.
The strongest debaters of our Republic took part in this debate tournament, where showed their skill, ingenuity and erudition in the open Republican debate tournament on the theme “Above the sky-2019”.
Debates today are one of the most popular forms of leadership development among students. Participation of students in such events, not only allows them to master the relevant skills, but also contributes to the development of creative activity of the individual, forms the ability to present and competently defend their position, their interests, improve the skills of oratory, culture of speech, as well as the ability to conduct a tolerant dialogue.
All participants of the debate tournament were awarded with letters of thanks, winners and prize-winners were awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes.
Following the tournament, the honorable first place went to student of the 3rd course Rakhimzhan Omirzhol.
Debaters of our University are among the strongest in the region, and this victory in the coin box of our debate club “Abadan” KSIU is not the first and not the last.
KSIU STRENGTHENS INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION WITH ITALY
In the period from November 15 to 20, 2019, the guests of honor from Italy, professor Link Campus University, vice-rector for internationalization of NKSU named. M. Kozybaeva Alessandro Figus and Italian language teacher at the Leonardo da Vinci Center Ludovico De Serio.
The purpose of the visit was to expand international cooperation with Italian universities, as well as to consider the issue of joint participation in international programs, including the Erasmus + program.
On November 15, a tour of KGIU was held for guests, during which production sites and unique laboratory equipment were demonstrated. The guests visited the Regional Center of the Cisco Networking Academy and the SOTSBI Information and Communication Center, 3D Engineering Factory and Festa Laboratory, Electronic Microscopy and Nanotechnology Engineering Laboratory, as well as the Metallurgy Training and Research Center, where guests were able to familiarize themselves with the pilot industrial site “Metallurgical Processes” and existing models of the full cycle of blast furnace and converter production.
In the framework of the international project “Erasmus +”, from November 18 to 20, Professor PhD Alessandro Figus delivered a series of training lectures to the students of our university on the course “European Union Law and Organization and the approach to the international diplomacy”.
On November 19, Professor Alessandro Figus, together with the teacher Ludovico De Serio, held a seminar for representatives of the faculties of KGIU, the theme of which was to consider the issue of joint participation in international programs and in the Erasmus + program.
Summing up the meeting, the guests expressed their gratitude and noted that the meeting was very fruitful. An open, interested dialogue took place between representatives of KGIU University and Italian guests. Of course, this will give a new impetus to the further development of education and science, the organization of systemic relations and mutually beneficial international cooperation.
I would like to note that our university has a very rich history, as well as solid experience in research work in metallurgy, energy, engineering, construction, economics, business and IT-technologies. He is actively working to establish international relations in research and educational activities and is constantly strengthening partnerships with foreign colleagues, both in the framework of existing educational programs and in the long term.
ACTIVISTS OF THE VOLUNTEER MOVEMENT “KAMKOR” KSIU PARTICIPATED IN THE REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL FORUM “VOLONTARIAT QURYLTAIY»
In anticipation of the Year of youth to promote volunteerism and sustain youth initiatives 22 Nov 2019, the members of the volunteer club “Kamkor” Karaganda state industrial university Temirkhan Nurbol, Sarsenova Jailygul, Kapanova Sattigul, Ibrayeva Amina, Adina Ibrayeva,Julia Golubeva took an active part in the regional educational forum “Volontariat quryltaiy”, organized by KSU was “Youth resource center Temirtau” in cooperation with the volunteer center “Shanyrak”.
The purpose of this forum: popularization of volunteer activities, the formation of a pool of volunteer initiatives.

Within the framework of the event, participants were provided with starting opportunities for youth initiatives, creation of conditions for self-realization and development of student youth, formation and development of youth teams, associations and organizations.

KSIU STUDENTS TOOK PART IN THE REGIONAL SPARTAKIAD FOR PRIZES OF AKIM OF KARAGANDA REGION
On November 4, the XIII regional sports Contest among students for prizes of Akim of Karaganda region started in Karaganda. The organizers dedicated the current championship to the year of youth.
The competition was held inclusive from 4 to 22 November 2019. Students of our university took part in competitions in 4 sports (basketball, volleyball, football, Kazakh kuresi).
Teams of nine universities of Karaganda region competed in the games.
The games were held in two stages. In the first stage of the competition, the teams of our University took the following places: Basketball-5th place, Volleyball-5th place, Football-6th place.
The student of group M-18K Azatbek Nurasyl took the third place on national wrestling Kazakh kuresi.
The second stage of the competition-the city spartakiad in team sports among students, dedicated to the day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held from 18 to 22 November 2019.
At the end of the second stage of the competition the teams of KSIU took the following places:

Volleyball girls-1st place;
Basketball-in the hard struggle, the 1st place was awarded to the team of KSIU, the 2nd place was taken by the team of the Technical and economic College at KSIU.

The participants of the competition noted that a healthy and active lifestyle is now at the peak of popularity among young people, and our state is doing everything to support the desire of the new generation for physical and spiritual growth. This spartakiad allowed to strengthen the established sports traditions of the Karaganda region. From 22 to 24 November 2019, students of Karaganda state industrial university took an active part in the open republican debate tournament for the Cup of the Minister of internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Zhastar zhane kogamdyk kauipsizdik”.
Hot discussions, hot emotional remarks, rage, laughter, excitement, anger, indignation, sincere joy of victory and sadness from defeat-all these feelings were experienced by the participants of the event.
The worthy rivals of the student league fought an intellectual duel, demonstrated the mastery of oratory and defended their positions with honor and dignity.
According to the results of the debate tournament, the second place of honor was awarded to our debate team “Lincoln”, and the best speaker of the tournament was recognized as a student of groupM-16K -Rakhymzhan Omirzhan.

THE FINAL STAGE OF THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIAD “CISCO STARS – 2019” ON NETWORK TECHNOLOGIES HAS BEEN COMPLETED IN KARAGANDA STATE INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY
In order to fulfil the message of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev, to introduce elements of the Fourth industrial revolution and digitalization of the economy, Karaganda state industrial university of Temirtau in cooperation with the Cisco Network Academy in 2018 has become a base platform for the introduction of new digital technologies and training in the Karaganda region of new personnel with digital skills, which was awarded the status of the Cisco Academy.
Within the framework of cooperation, the international Olympiad “Cisco STARS – 2019”, held under the auspices of the CISCO network Academy and the Kazakh Academy of Info communications, started on the platform of the Karaganda state industrial university on October 28, 2019.
The American multinational Corporation Cisco is a world leader in network technology and initiator of a program to develop and create easy-to-use and cost-effective computer networks, available to educational institutions and students around the world. It was founded 20 years ago on the basis of 64 educational institutions in the United States, and has now spread to more than 165 countries.
Cisco academic programs are one of the most deeply developed educational training programs offered by companies that work in the IT industry, they significantly facilitate their students to acquire knowledge and skills to work in the field of computer networks in the broadest sense and provide ample opportunities for career growth in leading companies in our country and the world.
Traditionally, the competition consisted of two stages: correspondence (online) – from November 7 to November 9, and full-time (final) – November 29, 2019 (on the platform of the Karaganda state industrial University).
690 participants were registered to participate in the Olympiad. The first round was successfully passed by 51 participants, of which 21 participants from Turkestan, Karaganda, Akmola and Almaty regions confirmed their intention to participate in the second – final round of the Olympiad.
Galina Sivyakova, Vice-rector for academic Affairs of Karaganda state industrial university, made a welcoming speech to the participants of the Olympiad, wishing all the finalists to show their abilities as much as possible and not stop at the results achieved.

KARAGANDA STATE INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY OPENED THE SCHOOL OF INTEGRITY
On December 6, 2019, Karaganda state industrial university hosted the opening of the school of integrity with the participation of honored guests of the Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption Alik Zhatkambayevich Shpekbayev, akim of Karaganda region Zhenis Makhmudovich Kasymbek, akim of Temirtau city Galym Abikhanovich Ashimov.
The purpose of opening a School of integrity: the formation of anti-corruption models of behavior in the student youth environment and training of young members of the anti-corruption movement the new formation and improvement of academic and research activities of our university.
The educational process in the School of integrity will be built on a combination of collective and individual forms of education, creative atmosphere, continuous interaction between participants and lecturers and coaches.
“The opening of integrity schools in universities is one of the most striking and large-scale projects of the anti-corruption agency.
Our university actively cooperates with the Department of the agency for Karaganda region to comply with the principles of integrity and transparency and all activities of our university is based on these principles. Today we are opening a School of integrity, which will become a resource center for the university and other organizations of Temirtau”, – said the rector of the university Bakhyt Akhatovich Zhautikov.
As a result of the work of the School of integrity, students will receive certificates confirming their theoretical knowledge about corruption and new mechanisms of combating this social evil that hinders the development of the state.

On December 25, summing up the results of 2019, which was declared the year of youth, the leadership of the city of Temirtau solemnly held a ceremony of awarding the Akim’s award “Zhasstar” to young people who actively participated in the social life of our city.
In 2019, applications for participation in the youth competition were submitted by 30 citizens, from which the Commission selected the four best nominees. The winners of the “Zhasstar” award received 100 thousand tenge.

Unfortunately, after the announcement of the results for the first round, our team was unable to confirm the increased rating and get the coveted pass to the second round. But this does not mean at all that our guys dropped their hands. Yes! They learned an important lesson and admitted defeat. Is it important to be able to recognize your own defeat? Of course! If we want to win the next time, then in this way, we can conclude our weaknesses, work on the mistakes …. In other words, the most painful defeat may be the best lesson that will bring victory closer if: to determine success in training and improvement, and not just in gain …. lead a bitter experience … also experience !!!
Our team has a lot of work ahead. They will take part in the new season of the Magnitogorsk league, hold a series of master classes for young kvnschiki of Temirtau and Karaganda, a recital as a gift to the 75th anniversary of the release of the First Kazakhstani steel in their hometown, as well as performances in leagues of the cities of Omsk and Novosibirsk.

DOCENT, PHD OF DEPARTMENT “METAL PROCESSING OF PRESSURES” VOLOKITINA IRINA EVGENIEVNA – WINNER OF THE BEST TEACHER OF THE UNIVERSITY COMPETITION 2019
On February 28, 2020, in the Palace of Schoolchildren of the city of Nur – Sultan, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the competition “Best University Teacher” in 2019 was held.
According to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 200 people from 48 universities of our country became the title holders in 2019. 471 applicants from 81 higher educational institutions of the republic took part in the 2019 competition. As a result of the selection, among the holders of the title ” The Best University Teacher” there is also an assistant professor at the Karaganda State Industrial University, PhD of the department “Metal Forming by Pressure” Volokitina Irina Evgenievna.
The receipt of this grant gives Irina Evgenievna, as well as the rest of the holders of the title “The Best University Teacher,” the opportunity to take an internship at leading universities in the world to improve her skills and conduct research.
It is worth noting that this year the activities of teachers were assessed by updated qualitative and quantitative indicators. The novelty of the competition was a selective verification of the tender documentation by the anti-corruption project office of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “ADAL BILIM”.
