Future bachelor's students study the structure, properties, and behavior of materials under various types of influence. During their studies, they master methods of analytical control of material properties, work with modern measuring and research instruments, and acquire skills in sample preparation for physical, chemical, and mechanical testing.
Students explore technologies for the production and processing of metals, polymers, ceramics, composites, and new functional materials, as well as methods to enhance their strength, corrosion resistance, and other performance characteristics. Special attention is paid to modern diagnostic methods, quality control, and standardization of materials.
In addition, students learn the basics of designing technological processes for material treatment, modifying material structures, and explore computer modeling of material properties.
