6B07702 – «Metallurgy of ferrous metals»
Future bachelor's students master key technologies for the production and processing of ferrous metals. During their studies, they explore blast furnace smelting processes, basic oxygen steelmaking, electric arc furnace operations, modern ladle metallurgy techniques, and the fundamentals of technological design for casting parameters.
Special attention is given to the design of metallurgical units, technological lines, and workshops. Students become familiar with the principles of metallurgical expertise and quality control of metal products.
The acquired knowledge enables graduates to work as technologists, design engineers, and production process specialists at metallurgical and mechanical engineering enterprises. Graduates are also in demand at research institutes, as well as in design and engineering organizations.
