6B07203 – «Metallurgy of non-ferrous metals»
Future bachelor's students master methods for the technological calculation of smelting and processing of non-ferrous metal ores. As part of their studies, they learn the principles of ore beneficiation, features of obtaining and processing light, heavy, rare, and precious metals, as well as the technologies for producing metallurgical products and semi-finished materials.
Students acquire skills in designing metallurgical units, installations, and workshops in non-ferrous metallurgy, and are introduced to the basics of metallurgical expertise and quality control. Special attention is given to modern methods of hydrometallurgy, electrometallurgy, and the processing of secondary resources.
Graduates can work as process engineers, designers, and specialists in metallurgical expertise and quality control at enterprises in non-ferrous metallurgy and mechanical engineering, as well as in research and design organizations.
Who will you become?
- Process engineers at non-ferrous metal production and processing enterprises;
- Design engineers for metallurgical units, workshops, and plants;
- Quality control specialists;
- Metallurgical expertise specialists;
- Research scientists in metallurgical research institutes.
