Purposes in the field of quality

Strategic goal— expand cooperation with the city and ensure real integration in the training and retraining of personnel for the country’s mining and metallurgical industry, development of the knowledge economy, ensuring the safety and ecology of the city, and volunteer activities.

 

In accordance with the Quality Assurance Policy, the University sets the following goals for the 2023-2024 academic year:

  1. The university has passed international institutional accreditation and specialized accreditation of master’s degree programs.
  2. Implementation of the Concept for the development of higher education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029.
  3. Bringing the share of teaching staff participating in educational and research projects from the total number of teaching staff to 77%.
  4. Increasing the number of employed graduates in the first year after graduation to 78%.
  5. Increasing the share of foreign students from the total number of students to 4.9%.
  6. Bringing the share of income received from scientific activities, innovative developments and commercialized projects (from the total budget of the university) to 1%.
  7. Increasing the share of cited documents in the Web of Science and Scopus databases to 30%.
  8. Increasing the amount of funds spent on the development of digital infrastructurerelative to 2020 by 10%.
  9. Bringing the share of incomeResearch and development from the total university budget up to 15%.
  10. Increasing the university’s rating positions (QS rating, rating of educational programs “Atameken”, National ratings of the IAAR and NAOKO agencies).
  11. Increasing the share of university students involved inorganized social activities up to 35%.
  12. Bringing the share of financial resources spent on updating educational and scientific equipment to 5%.
