Future graduates will work in the field of ensuring high quality and safety of products and services, as well as increasing economic efficiency for both consumers and manufacturers. Their work focuses on establishing norms and requirements for products (services), processes (work), and systems, their development, production, application, and metrological support, as well as monitoring compliance with these requirements.

Graduates of the program "SMC" acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in developing standards, normative-technical documentation, reviewing and making changes to them. They also learn to conduct metrological expertise, develop measurement methodologies for geometric accuracy, create measurement systems for specific productions, and develop methods for verifying (calibrating) measuring instruments. Graduates analyze the state of production, evaluate the stability of quality for products, services, and systems, and perform inspection control for certification, assessing the execution of corrective and preventive actions. They also conduct experiments, measurements, observations, and implement the results of scientific research.
