Karaganda Industrial University tirelessly cares about the everyday life and healthy lifestyle of students and employees, takes care of improving social and living conditions. The University has two comfortable dormitories with the redevelopment of some rooms for small-family apartments for students, undergraduates, doctoral students, staff and family students.
The total area of the dormitories is 10471 m2. Students live in rooms for 2-4 people. The University provides places in the dormitory for all those in need. For students on a budget, this rule is fully implemented, for students under a contract, the university provides a dormitory on a contractual basis, subject to availability.
The entrance to the KarIU dormitories for students is open until 22:00 hours. The visiting of the dormitories by the guests of the residents is limited to 23.00 hours, except for the time of the examination sessions, when visiting the dormitories by the guests is strictly prohibited.
All dormitories are equipped with a modern video surveillance system, security and an automatic fire alarm system with a signal output to the central control room of the University. Regular exercises are held to ensure that students living in dormitories comply with fire safety rules.
To date, there have been no problems in providing students, doctoral students and undergraduates with places in university dormitories.
The social and living conditions of students in the dormitory are kept under constant control of the university management.
The entire economic part of the hostel is managed by the head of the hostel. He is engaged in the provision of furniture and inventory, provides necessary repairs to residential premises. The head of the hostel organizes the work of the commandants on duty. Bed linen, if there is a settlement order, can be obtained from the commandants under personal responsibility. Bed linen is exchanged 2 times a week.
Nonresident students enrolled in KarIU for study, according to the terms of the agreement with the payment of tuition fees and who have permanent registration outside Temirtau, if there is a free housing stock, places in a hostel with accommodation are provided.
Smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, using heaters and tiles are strictly prohibited in dormitories.
In hostels it is strictly forbidden to smoke, drink alcoholic drinks, to use heaters and tiles.
