On March 29, 2023, a seminar on the topic "Key competencies of a person of the future" was held at the Metal Forming department, the purpose of which is to systematize student ideas about the existing variety of professions and determine the currently available key competencies that are necessary for any specialist starting his career.
During the event, Amanzholov Zhuman Kalykovich acquainted the students, teachers and other university staff present with the new ideas of the majority of employers about the future skills of an employee, which will be especially important in his professional activity: readiness for change, readiness for constructive "creative" destruction, readiness for irrational actions, possession of highly developed emotional intelligence, media literacy, etc. a person who is ready to act in a situation of diversity and uncertainty is a preadaptant. It is becoming increasingly obvious that the model of an effective manager is fading into the background. Already, the companies that determine the future are headed not by effective managers, but by people who are preadaptants. In a world characterized by constant and intense changes, those organizations that have a large number of leaders with high emotional intelligence will not only have great creative potential, but also tools that allow them to be more maneuverable and recover more successfully after shock. And the latter is an integral sign of the ability to cope with the destabilizing effects of various external factors.
Students and teachers took an active part in the discussion of these issues, which are important from a practical point of view. Since an adequate understanding of the current realities of the labor market will help future graduates in successful employment, because there is no doubt that the higher the level of existing competencies, the more valuable a specialist is.
