The Workshop “Current problems of nuclear energy. Involvement of students in scientific activity”

On April 4, 2023, within the framework of the Week of Science, a Workshop "Actual problems of nuclear energy was held at the Karaganda Industrial University. Involvement of students in scientific activity", organized by the Department of "Energy".

The speakers were a student studying in the OP "Energy Supply of industrial facilities" of the EPO-22 group, Yaroslav Yuryevich Goncharov and Olesya Alexandrovna Yushchenko– head of the editorial and publishing department, associate professor of the Voronezh Institute of High Technologies (Online broadcast).

Goncharov Ya.Yu. conducted a deep comparative analysis of the available examples of the use of atomic energy in the world, identified the weaknesses and strengths of generating electricity by splitting the uranium nucleus. Considered the problems and prospects of the construction of nuclear power plants in Kazakhstan. The speaker aroused genuine interest among the listeners and guests of the Workshop, as at the moment this topic is extremely relevant.

Then Associate Professor of the Voronezh Institute of High Technologies Olesya Alexandrovna Yushchenko held a seminar where she told how to properly prepare, issue and publish a scientific article in the high-tech journals of the RSCI, which are part of the Higher Attestation Commission.

The teaching staff, undergraduates and students who attended the seminar were active participants in it. The speakers' reports aroused keen interest among the seminar guests who participated in the discussion of the topics under consideration.
