THE NAMES OF THE WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION «THE BEST UNIVERSITY TEACHER – 2023» HAVE BECOME KNOWN. THE REPUBLICAN COMPETITION COMMISSION SELECTED THE BEST OF THE BEST IN THE PROFESSION.

 

The winners were 150 teachers from 43 Kazakhstani universities. Each of them will receive a bonus of 2000 MCI.

In addition to monetary rewards, the winners of the «Best University Teacher» competition will receive a badge.

The competition is held annually in order to increase the prestige of the teaching profession and encourage them to further professional development.

In total, 768 applicants from 80 higher educational institutions of the country participated in the competition. The competition evaluated such indicators as the development and publication of electronic educational resources, materials, scientific publications in domestic and international journals, the availability of patents for inventions, etc. The quality of the applicant’s teaching and his work on training in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies were also evaluated.

It should be noted that the competition was held on the basis of the information system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, through which participants could observe the transparency of all stages. Applications and documents for participation in the competition «The best university teacher – 2023» were accepted in electronic format. This ensured the openness of the competition.

The commission included representatives of NGOs, associations of universities and experts in the field of education.

The winner of the Republican competition from Karaganda Industrial University was Kuatbai Erbol Kuatbayevich, a senior lecturer at the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Science and a researcher at the Department of Science, Innovation and International Cooperation.
