The Department of Science, Innovation and International Cooperation of the NAO “Karaganda Industrial University” is a structural subdivision of the university, which carries out and coordinates research and development work (R&D) carried out at the university, as well as international cooperation.

The Department is a single scientific structure that unites all research and international departments of the university, including faculties, departments, research centers (NC), laboratories.

The Department is guided in its activities by the legislative and regulatory acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter of the CarIU.The Department determines scientific, innovative and international activities based on the university’s development strategy, decisions of the Academic Council and the Scientific and Technical Council of the University.

The purpose of the Department is to promote the fullest use of the scientific and intellectual potential of the university, the comprehensive development of research, scientific and production activities to improve the effectiveness of R&D results and the quality of education, the organization of innovation, the implementation of educational programs of postgraduate education and strengthening international cooperation of scientists and specialists.

The structure of the Department includes:

The Department of Strategic Development and International Relations of the NJSC «Karaganda Industrial University» is a structural division of the university that coordinates strategic planning and international relations aimed at developing the university in the context of global changes.

The Department unites all divisions of the University related to issues of strategic development, international cooperation and interaction with foreign partners, including faculties, departments, as well as other scientific and educational structures.

The activities of the Department are based on the legislative and regulatory acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Charter of KarIU. Strategic development and international activities are determined on the basis of the university development strategy and decisions of its Academic Council.

The main goal of the Department is to ensure sustainable development of the university, strengthen its international image, attract international partners for scientific and educational cooperation, improve the effectiveness of educational and scientific programs, and strengthen the university’s position in international rankings.

The Department of Operation, Safety, Civil Defense and Emergency Situations is a structural subdivision of the University and reports directly to the Rector.
The main activity of the Department includes the organization of activities in the following areas:
– engineering, technical and economic maintenance of the university and its structural divisions.
– capital and current repairs of buildings, structures, reconstruction, construction, supply, operation of vehicles, heat supply, water supply and energy supply.
– maintenance of buildings, premises and the university territory in proper condition in accordance with the rules and regulations of industrial sanitation and fire safety.
– providing the necessary economic and technical conditions for the university staff.
– ensuring measures to comply with safety and fire safety.

The Department of Information Technology implements information systems, develops software, supports network and server infrastructure, carries out repair and maintenance work of computer and copying equipment, accompanies the work of multimedia equipment, WI-FI network, university website.

The activities of the Department for Educational Work and Youth Policy are aimed at:

– to create conditions for the comprehensive development of the personality of students;
– implementation of programs related to diversity, equality, inclusiveness of educational and educational processes;
– carrying out activities that contribute to the civil, patriotic, spiritual, moral and anti-corruption education of students;
– development and support of youth initiatives through the development of student self-government;
– organization of work to strengthen and develop the traditions of the university;
– organization of sports and health-improving work, promotion of physical culture and a healthy lifestyle;
– organization of psychological-consulting and preventive work;
– development of a system of moral and material incentives for the achievements of students in the mass cultural, sports, public and other spheres.

The Personnel Management Service is an organizational and structural subdivision of the NAO “Karaganda Industrial University”. The sector conducts public procurement of goods, works, services necessary to ensure the functioning, as well as the implementation of the statutory activities of the university. Carries out control of public procurement and execution of the public procurement plan.

The purpose of the library is to create a modern level of information support for the educational, scientific, research activities of the University, the implementation of operational access of users to the Library fund, including printed, audiovisual, electronic documents.

The system of services of the scientific library includes the issuance of literature, digitization of sources, consulting in the search for sources on a certain topic, highly rated journals in knowledge-intensive databases.
