The Department has a good material base for research studies. There are 12 specialized laboratories where students can work under the guidance of leading specialists.
The laboratories of «General chemical technology», «Processes and devices of chemical technology of organic substances», «Mass transfer processes» and «Chemical technology of organic synthesis and materials» study the processes of rectification, extraction, absorption and adsorption, polymerization, heat exchange, reaction processes; study the hydrodynamics of the foam apparatus and contact devices of mass transfer devices, the hydraulics of the suspended layer, the processes of crushing, mixing, precipitation, and centrifugation.
The laboratories of «General and inorganic chemistry», «Organic chemistry», «Physical and colloidal chemistry», «Analytical chemistry» study the properties of organic and inorganic substances, research colloidal solutions, determination of the viscosity of colloidal systems, the study of redox and other types of reactions, the study of the kinetics of the chemical reaction, the phenomenon of sedimentation and coagulation; qualitative and quantitative analysis of substances by chemical methods (gravimetry, indicator titration).
The laboratory of «Physical and chemical methods of analysis» is designed for the analysis of substances by various instrumental methods (spectrophotometry, potentiometry, coulometry, etc.).
