The graduating department has the following educational and laboratory base – specialized classrooms and laboratories in the disciplines: «Building structures», «Technology of construction», «Geodesy», «Architecture», «Geotechnics», computer class, etc.
In 2009-2010 academic year, a specialized laboratory was opened in the classroom 010 for discipline «Building materials».
There are a computer class (H-306) for 10 personal computers, office equipment: fax, copier, 6 printers, 2 scanners in the laboratory.
The department has such unique technical means for demonstration of graphic, film, photo, video and other materials: Codak projector, codoscope, graphic projector, televideo unit.
The total area of classroom and laboratory facilities is 283,6 м2.
To improve the quality of training, teachers use the following technical training tools: slide lectures, posters in all disciplines, transparencies, videos, folios.
The research laboratory is equipped with the latest devices for carrying out compression tests for 3-axis compression, devices for determination of durability of concrete, solution, a brick with digital counting.

The chair has contracts on the creative cooperation with construction laboratories of КММ-2 Ltd, PromSpetsSnab.KZ Ltd , AkZhol-T Ltd.
The laboratory conducts an almost complete set of tests of building materials and soil bases according to the standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and then these materials are used in theses and dissertations.

GEOTECHNICS LABORATORY
The main scientific direction of the department is the study of promising foundation designs in complex engineering and geological conditions of the undermined territories based on the Karaganda coal basin. The study are carried out under the guidance of Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Bazarov B.A.
