KARIU STUDENTS TOOK PART IN THE REPUBLICAN STUDENT FORUM “SENIN SATIN”
The republican student forum “Senin Satin” started in Atyrau on March 3-4. It was attended by 200 students from 52 universities of Kazakhstan. Atyrau University named after him became the venue for the forum. Dosmukhamedov. It also hosted a meeting of the Student Council, which was established under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The main task of all this work is to present and discuss projects that are being implemented in Kazakh universities, and to listen to the ideas of young students in order to develop a plan for further actions. Karaganda Industrial University presented a student. These are Karzhau Samat and Tileubergenov Karshyga from the faculty of FETiSU. Activists raised such topical issues as the employment of young professionals, the shortage of places in dormitories, reporting on travel payments. The Minister supported the students’ requests and noted that the issue of road payments is being worked out. To solve the problem of lack of places in dormitories in large cities, project offices are being created for the construction of new dormitories, and 10,000 new beds are being introduced annually.
The main topic of the forum was the initiative of students to create the republican student association Kazakhstan Student’s Union. The main task of this organization is to protect the interests of students. According to the speakers, in the future the student organization plans to join the European Student Union (ESU) as part of the Bologna process. The aim of ESU is to represent and promote the educational, social, economic and cultural interests of students at the European level in all relevant bodies, especially in the European Union, the Council of Europe and UNESCO.
