Science activity

The department ensures the necessary balance between educational and scientific activities. Research work at the department is built on the basis of current and future plans for the development of the department and the university.

The main functions and tasks in the field of research activities of the department are:

- conducting fundamental, exploratory, applied research, development and innovation activities;

- obtaining new knowledge through scientific research and creative activities of scientific and pedagogical workers and students;

- research and development of theoretical and methodological foundations for the development of higher education;

- implementation of the results of scientific research into practical activities;

- formation and development of own scientific schools, active involvement in research work of scientific and pedagogical workers and students;

- development and implementation of own technologies and methods of preparation, organization and conduct of the educational process using modern educational technologies;

- organization of applied research and practical development aimed at commercial implementation;

- protecting intellectual property and copyrights of researchers and developers and facilitating the entry of scientific developments into the Kazakhstani and international markets;

- expansion of the financial basis for research and development through the use of borrowed funds and innovation.

The faculty of the department took part in the implementation of research funded from the state budget:

- Development and research of innovative hot rolling technology to obtain high-quality wire rod at minimal material and energy costs;

- Development of an automatic control system and integrated protection of an energy-saving electromagnetic lifting installation.

The department also conducted initiative research:

- Development of a methodology for research and design of technological machines and transport equipment using modern computer systems for engineering analysis;

- Determination of the parameters of the technological line for the production of road building materials from industrial waste.

Based on the results of scientific research, scientific articles and reports are regularly published in various periodicals and proceedings of international and republican conferences.

The results of research work are introduced into the educational process in the framework of writing graduation papers, developing elective courses, teaching aids and instructions.
