KARIU VOLUNTEERS IMMERSED SCHOOLCHILDREN IN THE WORLD OF IT

On April 26, 2024, the TII Department, together with the Department of VRIMP and КarIU volunteers, conducted a course on "Successful creation of presentations" for schoolchildren of Temirtau secondary school No. 8. The meeting, which took place within the framework of the republican project "Menin bauyrym", consisted of two parts. At the beginning, the guys took part in a seminar on the topic "Secrets of a successful presentation". Students Kungradbaev Meyirbek (PI-22k-2) and Abdrakh Dinara (PI-21k-1) talked about how to make the presentation informative and memorable, and the report succinct and interesting. The students listened with interest and asked questions.

In the second part of the meeting, student Nikita Shakhov (OMD-21) introduced students to the university's projects on virtual and augmented reality and the use of neural networks. The first project was implemented on the basis of ultra-precise neural networks to determine a person's gender, age and mood in real time. The second project, the Eye of the Ambulance project, is designed to alert staff about the need to provide first aid to a person. The system analyzes the image from the camera and the position of the person on it. If it is horizontal for some time, the system concludes that the person needs help and sends an SMS to an authorized person. And the third project is "VR virtual ecosystem of the environment". The project is a closed ecosystem that dynamically changes depending on the player's actions: cut down a tree, drained a river, set fire to barrels, etc.

All the projects aroused genuine interest among the students, the guys actively participated in the discussion. The idea of interacting with a virtual world that responds to their actions captured their imagination. The guys enthusiastically immersed themselves in this unique experience, exploring the possibilities of using intelligent technologies to solve various tasks.

In the future, work within the framework of the republican project will continue.
